Mrs. Zipora Schorr
Mrs. Zipora Schorr has been Director of Education of the Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School since 1982. Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School has an enrollment of over 1000 students from Pre-School through Grade 12, which encompass students from a variety of Jewish denominational affiliations. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate, Mrs. Schorr holds teaching certification for general studies as well as Judaic studies and has taught subjects of both Judaic and secular content at the elementary, high school and college level. She has done her Master’s work at Johns Hopkins University, and is currently pursuing her doctorate at Gratz College in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Schorr was honored to receive the 2003 Covenant Foundation Award for Exceptional Jewish Educators at the JESNA Jewish Education Leadership Summit in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on February 9, 2004. Mrs. Schorr and Beth Tfiloh are committed to an approach to “Klal Yisrael” that respects the wide range of observance among Jews, and works to promote unity among all branches of Judaism.
